The Brand Movement

I co-developed the Targeting platform in partnership with its founder, creating a digital media portal focused on marketing, advertising and brand activity in Angola.

The platform was designed as a structured content and advertising ecosystem, supporting both content publishing and monetisation.

The main challenge was to build a content-driven platform that could also support advertising as a core business model.

Standard WordPress solutions were not sufficient to handle the level of control required for ad scheduling, visibility and management, requiring a more customised approach.

Additionally, the platform needed to balance content readability with commercial elements, ensuring that advertising did not compromise user experience.

The solution involved developing a structured content platform with a customised advertising management system.

A flexible ad system was implemented, allowing scheduling, activation periods and controlled display of advertising spaces across the platform.

Google Analytics was integrated to track user behaviour, engagement and performance, enabling data-driven insights.

The platform was built on WordPress, enhanced with custom logic to extend its native capabilities and support the project’s monetisation strategy.

The project followed a collaborative approach, working closely with the project owner to define the platform’s structure and business objectives.

Initial phases focused on defining content categories, user flow and advertising placement strategy.

Development was carried out iteratively, including the implementation of custom features to support ad management and analytics integration.

Additional work included infrastructure setup, email configuration and platform migration to ensure stability and scalability.

The project evolved into a recognised digital platform within the Angolan marketing and advertising ecosystem, becoming a relevant source for industry insights and brand-related content.

The platform gained traction across professional networks, particularly on LinkedIn, reflecting its alignment with a business-oriented audience.

From a product perspective, the solution established a scalable foundation combining content, audience and monetisation, positioning the platform for continued growth.
