The main challenge was to adapt a traditional website into a booking-oriented platform capable of handling different types of travel experiences.
The company offers a wide range of services, including group trips, personalised journeys and multi-destination experiences, requiring a flexible and structured system.
Additionally, it was necessary to ensure usability for both international and local users, while supporting multiple payment methods.
The solution involved transforming WordPress into a booking-oriented platform by adapting WooCommerce to handle travel packages as structured products.
Custom logic was implemented to manage booking flows, including user input such as number of participants and package configuration.
Multiple payment methods were integrated, including local solutions (Multicaixa Express via Pay4All) and international options (PayPal, Visa and Mastercard).
The platform was designed to provide a clear and intuitive user journey, from exploration of destinations to booking completion.
The project involved analysing the existing system and migrating it from a Laravel-based structure to WordPress, improving usability and maintainability.
Significant effort was dedicated to understanding the company’s business model, including its travel offerings, pricing structure and customer profiles.
