The main challenge was to implement an e-commerce solution adapted to the local market constraints, particularly regarding payment and delivery logistics.

Standard e-commerce flows were not fully compatible with user behaviour and infrastructure limitations, requiring alternative approaches to ensure usability and conversion.

Additionally, managing a large product catalogue with thousands of items required careful handling to ensure consistency and performance.

The solution evolved over time to better align with the client’s operational needs.

Initially, a custom checkout flow integrated with WhatsApp was implemented to adapt to local user behaviour and infrastructure limitations.

As the project matured, a payment gateway (Pay4All) was integrated, enabling secure and automated online transactions.

This transition marked an important step in moving from an assisted purchasing model to a more standardised e-commerce experience, while maintaining flexibility for the local market.

The project was developed in collaboration with the client, starting from an existing WordPress and WooCommerce setup.

Initial phases focused on analysing the current system and identifying gaps in the purchasing flow.

Custom development was then implemented to enable WhatsApp-based checkout, followed by product catalogue structuring and system adjustments.

The process also included testing and iteration to ensure a functional and reliable user experience.

The project evolved from a basic e-commerce setup into a more complete digital sales platform.

The integration of a local payment gateway enabled secure transactions and improved the overall purchasing experience.

This progression allowed the business to move towards a more structured and scalable digital commerce model, better aligned with both user expectations and market conditions.
